Mobile first

Inspired by Andy Clarke's wonderful 320 and up, OneWeb is built with a mobile-first philosophy, ensuring the needs of mobile devices are always met.

Media queries are used to add to the design of larger, smarter devices.

Content first

OneWeb's markup is laid out to place the main content area at the top, above navigation and above the left module position.

This aids usability, enhances the user experience and benefits search engines.

Bloat free

I have paid a lot of attention to minimising the browser load of OneWeb.

Lean markup, minimal CSS and tools to strip out Joomla! bloat make OneWeb the fastest Joomla template on the scene.

Accesible

OneWeb will continue to function perfectly with Javascript disabled.

Devices that don't support .js (there are lots!) and 'that type' of user still get the full responsive, mobile-friendly experience.

html5 baked in!

OneWeb makes extensive use of html5 elements like header, nav, section, aside, article and footer adding semantic value to the markup

This benefits humans, browsers and search engines.

Component overrides

OneWeb uses template overrides to modify core Joomla! component and module outputs, adding html5 semantic elements.

Currently, only overrides for com_content and com_contact are included.
